Bearings for Energy Equipment
Energy-sector equipment such as electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, generators and auxiliary drives requires bearing selection based on load, speed, temperature, lubrication and maintenance intervals. The complete bearing reference and suffixes should be retained when sourcing a replacement.
Bearing Types for Energy Applications
Cylindrical roller bearings are often evaluated for high radial-load positions in motors, generators and gearboxes. Deep groove ball bearings are common in compact rotating equipment where radial load and moderate axial load are present. Spherical roller bearings can be considered for heavier-duty equipment where alignment and load conditions require review.
